James Podgers, an assistant managing editor, first worked as a reporter for the ABA Journal between 1978 and 1981, then rejoined the Journal staff in 1991 as an editor. He also has worked as a reporter for the Joliet (Ill.) Herald-News and as the Assistant Dean for Public Affairs at Chicago Kent College of Law. Jim holds a J.D. from Chicago-Kent and a B.A. in history from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
