The widow of slain Washington, D.C., lawyer Robert Wone filed a $20 million wrongful death suit against the three men who were indicted last week on charges that they obstructed the investigation into Wone's death.

Legal Times reports that the complaint, filed this week in D.C. Superior Court, accuses Arent Fox partner Joe Price, 37, his partner Victor Zaborsky, 42, and their roommate Dylan Ward, 38 of conspiring to thwart the investigation and of "intentional, reckless and/or negligent acts" that caused Wone's death.

The complaint also alleges that the men "fraudulently concealed the existence of facts" in the case, including "cleaning up and staging the crime scene, planting and destroying evidence, delaying the reporting of the murder to the authorities and lying to police," the Washington Post reports.

Wone, who was a friend of Price's, was stabbed to death in the second-floor guest room of Price's Dupont Circle home in 2006. Wone reportedly was staying with Price to avoid a long commute home because he was working late.

Legal Times reports that the roommates claimed an intruder attacked Wone. But police say there is evidence that Wone was drugged and sexually assaulted.
